MF 231/ Perkins AD3.152 Serial Number Location

Anybody know where the engine serial number is located on my 1998 Massey Ferguson 231? It has the Perkins AD3.152 engine.

on my Perkins engine it is located on the left upper side of the engine close to the water pump. You may have to wire brush or sand the flat area to see it

mine is an older Perkins engine but location of serial number maybe similar. Look for a flat machined area on the block and scrape it clean to see the stamping
