MF 231 transmission/hydraulic oil change

Hello, I’m changing the fluid in my Massey Ferguson 231 and I’m trying to remove my strainer filter and clean it out but the cover is not wanting to let loose. I see there is a gasket underneath it but I’ve tried to lightly tap it with my hammer but nothing is happening. Wanted to come here and ask before I broke anything

Might have to pry it loose with a flathead screwdriver. Mine took a little persuasion to come off also.
