Hi all I am working with a Massey Ferguson 240 and a 232 front end loader. I was able to get my new adapter plate and a new shaft installed as well as a new front end hydraulic pump, but the new shaft splined adapter spun off the shaft at the braising point. This is the second shaft this is happened to. Is it possible that this is due to a faulty relief valve in the spool or just a bad batch of pump drive shafts? Should I just get these two parts welded?

Thanks for any input.

Joe
