The MF 236 loader on my MF 231 has it's own pump attaced to the crank shaft and the loader moves and stops too fast to suit me. The tractor has an adjustment for the speed of the 3ph but, I can't find mention of anythng like that in the loader's manual. If anyone knows how to slow this thing down, please share the secret.

I lived in Dillon and Clinton, SC the first 20 years of my life.

You can reduce engine rpm.

You can add restrictors in the cyl lines.

1/4 in cyl hoses will help.

You can use a splitter which will divide the fluid into two paths. A priority flow for the loader and the remainder to tank. Like this.

This valve will provide 4 GPM for the loader and the rest to tank.

4/30 GPM PRINCE PRIORITY FLOW DIVIDER W/RELIEF

This is a flow control valve, and you can vary the flow to the loader, and the rest of the fluid will go to tank.

J.J.,
Thank you. I've been reading your advise on hydraulics and hoped you'd answer. If someone doesn't point me to an adjustable restrictor, already in the circuit, I may order one of the devices you've recommended. The links are most appreciated.
Clinton is in the next county. I used to go to Church camp with the kids from Thornwell Children's Home and the church in Clinton.
