Buying Advice MF 255 with the multi-power unhooked?

Looking at buying a MF 255, that the owner had a new clutch installed about 2 years ago. Didn't discover until after he got the tractor back, that the multi-power was left unhooked.

What impact will this have on the tractor? Will it be stuck in the last position used? I don't know anything about mp except what i've read...
