MF 263 any information

Newbie to Massey Fergusons and am looking at the 253, and 263 models, but can't seem to find many out there, ot that much information about them. Do they have major issues, what should I look for if I look at them for purchase.

I am looking at possibly purchasing on from a landscape company and I would need it around our 13ac. We would eventually like to do about 8ac of hay sm. squares, and typical maintenance/cleanup jobs, along with running a harrow/drag for a riding arena. Does anyone have any insight?

The MF263 is my favorite 200 series tractor. I love the way it runs with the turbo. It is an upgraded descendant of the MF135 that sold like hot cakes for many years. The base tractor is the same but it has gone through may upgrade. I would love to have a 263 in addition to my 1440. They are low to the ground for good stability and have a short wheel base to get into tight places. Get you a shuttle shift transmission if you can find one. To bad they quit making them when they shut down Banner Lane. They could have at least transfer the manufacturing to Brazil. I think that they could still sell a lot of them.

Thanks for the reply, you say they are a newer descendant of the 135, do you know of anyplace online that has the original literature on these? I looked around on the MF website, but couldn't find much if anything on these tractors. I did find the data on "tractordata", but that has been about it. Do you think the reason there aren't many out there is that they are so reliable, or they just didn't sell/make many off them? Will parts availibility be a problem? Do you know of any model related issues I should look for?

Peterson QH, here is a bump to the top. I was reading that sale bill today, and have some of the same questions. There also does not seem to be very many on Tractor House etc. for estimating value.
