i have a friend who asked me to go look at a tractor with him today. he wants it for using in his garden and doing a little bush hogging around his yeard. it was a good looking MF 30. seems to have been repainted not too long ago, straight sheet metal, didnt see any leaks, started up right away and ran like a top. the guy who owns the tractor wasn't around to ask any questions, he just knew my friend was coming over today to check it out so he left the key in it. from my research on tractorhouse i'm guessing this model brings anywhere from $2,000-7,500. this tractor appeared to be in better shape then the ones i saw on tractorhouse. it looks to be around 30hp. does this MF have a perkins in it? is this an industrial tractor? the ones i saw on tractor house were painted yellow while this one we looked at was red and white. what kind of transmission does this one have?i'm not that familiar with older MF tractors so any help and information would be helpful. my friend asked me what i thought and if he should go for it and i told him it looked good, but let me ask some people i know to be sure(you guys). the price for the tractor is $3,500. kinda seemed low to me for the shape it was in to be honest with you. also i don't know how many hours it had on it.
