I was wondering if anyone has had problems with tisco's tach cables. I bought one a while back when the the factory cable's nut broke when it was tighten on the engine tach housing. The new one i bought the inner cable was too short and would not turn the tachometer. I replace the new inner cable with the old cable and it worked good, but the new problem was the outer housing will not fit tight against the engine tach houseing due to the outer cable housing being too long. I have a MF Parts book and i took the mesurments of the inner cables and compared them to the mesurments that parts book showed. The new cable tisco stock were wrong with the cable. One number is for a shorter tach cable which for the older serial numbers and the longer one being for new serial numbers
