Hey all,

Newb here:

Short question:

It looks like a previous owner decided to use the filler plug as a return line for
the FEL's return of the loader control. Would someone be able to review the
attached pictures and tell me if that is what is going on and whether or not
I can safely remove that hydraulic line and if possible, unscrew that round
component inside what I believe is the filler location?

Long story:

So, I *thought* I knew where the filler hole was on the FE-35 (apparently, it is near the shifters), however, then I saw this hydraulic attachment there. So, I automatically thought "ah, the big nut under the seat must be it". Then, the problems started.

I undid the first drain plug at the front of the tractor, lovely milky pink transmission fluid came out. Before I undid the second drain plug at the back, I decided to pour alittle of the new stuff in to make sure that in fact
it was the proper path. Undid the assumed plug, nothing.... it's not the filler.
Now, I'm in a state where I need help.

The pictures:

"Suspected transmission filler hole" - I believe that they put this on as a return hose, to make sure a constant flow into the tranny.

"loader and bucket controls" - This is an HCI-Prince make. It looks a great deal like the RD5200 line. http://www.princehyd.com/Portals/0/products/valves/RD5000InstS.pdf

Thanks.

After grabbing the longest 1" and 7/8" wrenches I could find, praying to God that there wasn't any PSI in the lines and turning, I can definitely say... it's
just a return line they put over top of the transmission filler cap :)

Yes that is the fill hole next to the gear shift levers.

Just an extra oiler to make sure those forks don't stick between gears.

So, I did the following:

- Emptied the tranny (both front and back drain plugs) (see picture)
- poured about a gallon of diesel in, let it sit for about 5 mins.
- emptied it out.
- poured about a gallon of Permatran in to help flush the diesel out.
- emptied it out.

The hydraulics are working pretty amazing now.
