I am looking at a MF 596. I will be using it for cutting and baling hay. Look for any info or reviews from people with experience with them.

It is a very solid, heavy simple tractor. A little antiquated in design for its age but I wouldn't shy away from it is it is in good condition.

I would check on parts availability. Im not sure of the issue but I have seen a lot of that model for sale and most were broken. Around here the 596 is mostly a highway right of way mower. I have an older 396 english made and I think the 596 is south of the border. If you have good parts availability then the older massey is a fine simple tractor
