Massey Ferguson 65
Hey guys, I have recently managed to blow a bearing or something in my transmission and the bearings have eaten up a few teeth in the gears...do I have to split the tractor in half to pull the transmission to replace some parts, or can I do it through the top plates? I really dont want to split it unless I have to. Also..any ideas on where I can find some good transmission diagrams online without paying an arm and a leg for it? I appreciate any help you can give me.

I have a massey 65 that has been split twice. They have a reputation to stick
in a gear. The last time it did this, is because the shift fork broke. I would be willing to say that you need to split it. Take your time and be careful not to let the two half's go left or right. This will make it easier to align back up when you put it back together. Putting them back together is the hardest part. Depending on how mechanical you are, you will want somebody to help you that has done this before.
