MF GC odd jobs Summer/Fall 2018

I was looking for a photo and thought I’d post a few “odd jobs” my GC was/is instrumental in. Jet ski launch, boat lift installation, boat fueling, welding, end of season yard work. (I built that “yard waste bucket” with left over steel roofing and a wood skid, it is 6.5’ wide and 2.5’ deep). 248 hours in 14 months, this tractor is my favorite after work activity.

Nice. Wish I could weld better! Did you buy a kit or scratch-build that boat lift? I've had my 2310 for 11 years now, and it's been amazing the number of things I just wouldn't have been able to do without it. 900 hrs and I still love it!

Did you buy a kit or scratch-build that boat lift?

It was a kit shipped in pieces. The cheapest quote from any local marina was for $18k (highest was $27k) for a 70000lb lift installed! I found that lift (made in Michigan) for $7500 and I installed it by floating it into position with some blue barrels I got on craigslist for $5 each. My neighbors enjoyed watching that.

Love the tractor boat fueling station.

It is a godsend....holding 5 gallon cans trying to fill a 60 gallon tank while spilling all over the boat is common place around here...now I have 3 of those 15 gallon tanks and I can link them together or use them separately, plus it is just gravity feed to boat....I just lift the bucket, put the hose in the tank and open it up, and drink a beer, gravity does the rest.
