Massey Ferguson gc1710 TLB (2016)
I am in the market for a new trailer that will have as one of its many uses to move my tractor.

Has anyone gone and actually scale-weighed their 1710 with FEL and backhoe attached? According to trailer guy, the weight on the spec sheet has varied greatly from actuals, and since I have more of an entry-level set-up with a class 3 hitch, it helps to know the weights I need to safely move.

Thanks for any help...

Well according to tractor data, the shipping weight of the tractor is 2,670. I believe all tractors come with a front loader, so I bet that is backed into the shipping weight. Then you need to add in some weight for the fluids and I bet your looking around 2,700lbs. I can't find any weight numbers for the backhoe, but I remember someone saying the weight on the backhoe is around 600lbs. So I bet it's around 3,300 actual weight. However to be conservative, plan for around 3,500 - 3,600lbs...

I'd be interested to know actual weight as well. Also, I wonder how the weight is distributed front to back which would help with determining how long of a trailer you really need to get it balanced well.
I believe the 2670 figure includes loader and backhoe. If you look at a GC1705 it is listed at a bit over 1400 lbs. I believe loader and backhoe each add a bit over 600 lbs. when you figure size and weight capacity of your trailer don't forget that you may want to take other attachments (box blade for example) along as well.

Correct, the shipping weight on a GC1710/GC1720 is as a TLB, so it is all inclusive. The 1705/1715 are the loader only or bare tractor depending on how it is ordered. So the 2670 is correct.
