I had the opportunity to run out my new Massey Ferguson GC1720 TLB backhoe yesterday, had to dig a trench for some drainage. It's been almost 20 years since I last ran a hoe, and it was a chore as it was IIRC a Terra-Mite (may not be quite correct). It was pretty primitive rental unit, and the new MF is a dream comparatively. The biggest thing I found, a feature that not all the TLBs I shopped had, was boom float, that made the job so so much easier. This little guy really impressed me and how it made an amateur like me able to pull a level trench so easily. I'd have shot some pictures, but there was a storm brewing and I wanted to get the job done before it hit, and did - just barely, had to load out in a high wind and just starting to rain.
