MF GC2310 Won't start.

HI All... First real issue with my 4 year old GC2310. May daughter was mowing and shut it down to answer her cell but it won't restart. It Buzzes as if trying to start it in gear rather than in neutral. BAttery seems good, but light don't come on. Have tried another battery but same issue. Used to have an issue where the grounding strap would keep cracking and not provide a good ground but the last time I fixed that I made sure it wouldn't happen again.

It was thinking of trying to bypass the safety switch in the seat, but that doesn't ever prevent me from starting it in neutral when not in the seat, so it can't be that.

What would prevent the lights from coming on but still allow for the buzzing?

Make sure the PTO for the mower is shut off. It won't start if it is engaged, but I wouldn't expect that to effect the lights. It has been a few days since you posted so let us know if you got it going and what the problem was.
