MF Tractor Plants - Locations in USA??

Hi All,

I am wondering if there are any MF tractor plants in the USA? I know of Brazil, and Beauvais, France, and of course, Japan, but am curious if any are assembled in the USA??

A plant tour would be nice, although the combine plant in Hesston, Kansas would be sweet too.

The only place that I know of is the assemble of the compacts at Sioux City, Iowa.

the 1500 series Jerry??

The 1500 series and 2600 series tractors are shipped mostly assembled to Iowa in crates inside ocean containers. Final assembly of the tractor occurs at the loader manufacturing facility in Soiux City, Iowa.

They assemble some tractors in Hesston, Kansas too, we have a friend that works in the plant. They don't do any SCUT's though.

The only "tractors" that are assembled (manufactured from the ground up actually) at the AGCO Corp. factory in Hesston, Kansas are self-propelled windrower "tractors". That is how the engineers and plant workers in Hesston tend to refer to the part of an SP windrower that is not the cutting head. That may be the explanation for a person working at the plant saying that they assemble tractors there. The main association that conventional tractors have with the Hesston facility is various sizes and brands of tractors from AGCO Corporation are there for Hesston Engineering to do testing, research and product development on both the balers and other machines manufactured in Hesston and on other North American applications of tractors.

Massey Ferguson doesn't even manufacture tractors in the UK anymore, if I remember correctly. Wonder if Harry Ferguson is spinning in his grave over that development?
