MF1030,,no third gear

Looking at buying a MF1030 form a man up the road,,good looking and running tractor,,problem is it will not go into third gear,,in high or low,,all others work good, its just like there is nothing there,,u feel nothing,,no bind, no grind, nothing,,just wondering if anyone else has had this problem,,thanks for any help

Hi double hunter
I have a 1010 which is the small brother to this tractor. So quick answer is only very limited number of parts from MF AGCO. These tractors where built by Hinomoto in Japan and basically have been abandoned by MF AGCO . There are a couple of salvage yards like West Kentucky Tractor Parts that can get salvage parts and some new parts that they have sourced. It really is to bad as these are rugged little tractors and as long as they are maintained they will run forever! Hope this helps!
