Recently purchased the machine and am awaiting the arrival of some parts and the service manual. When I purchased the machine I noticed the steering wheel had a lot of play in it. The original owner said it was like that for years and didn't affect the steering, but there is definitely too much play and it seems like it needs a brace or collar where the steering column meets the dash. Could someone with the same machine give me any info as to whether their machine has some sort of a support bracket or collar where the column comes through the dash panel ?
