My MF 1240 (Iseki) has recently given me an issue with the PTO.
The PTO will only engage or disengage only when the tractor is shut off.
If you try to engage with the engine running there is only a grinding sound and you are unable to engage.
The same thing applies when the tractor is running it only grinds when you try to disengage the turning PTO shaft.
What could the issue be?
Will the tractor need to be opened up?
