Does anyone currently use the stabilizer chain arrangement as shown in figures 10 & 11 of the attached photo? I am now using stabilizer bars on each side and it would seem that the chain arangement would make connecting an implement quicker and easier, if it works as well as the bars. Thanks for the input.View attachment MF Stabilizer.pdf:)

I would like to try the chains as I don't have them. I bought adjustable stabilizer bars.

I'm not that familiar with the 3pt set ups as we've always had an old farmall M, but we do use a 2816 hst mahindra and it only has the adjustable chains on the lower link arms. They are on the outer side of the link bars so I guess the chain on the right side of the tractor keeps the implement from swinging to the left tire and the chain on the left side of the tractor keeps the implement from going into the right tractor tire. The are easy to adjust to widen or narrow your lower lift arms...just turn a turnbuckle once you slip the lower arms over the implement pins. I'm sure they would fit any class one 3pt.

I have pin-adjustable rigid stabilizers from Stabilworks.

Check out Hodge's video:

Mine came with solid flat stabilizer bars that are exact length. No adjustments. I had a front pin get snatched off allowing one to drop to the ground and bending it severely. Instead of bending it back which I will one day. I replaced them with adjustable bars from TSC. note the anchor pins on the bottom fender brackets. They have three holes to choose from. They really keep a brush cutter or box scraper from moving around. Chains would not be as stable but would work. Here's a picture of mine.

Having had both turn buckle and bar type, I wouldn't want anything but the bar type.

i not long replaced mine with adjustable bars, did think of the chains, when you drop a clip 1 bar will hold the implement in place, i also use bolts and nuts to hold the front of the bar in place, if the clip comes of the bar goes under the slasher, and time to get new one

A bit different setup than yours (Jinma 204) but it might give you an idea

I also went back with heavy duty linch pins to keep from the past. TSC sells them. They are colored black and they're twice as strong and made sure I put them in from the top. -kid

Jeff,

I'm intrigued by this arrangement. Do you have it on a MF135? If so I wonder if you could post a picture? Thanks.
