Oil & Fuel mf135

Bought a C3P fram filter for my 66 mf135 z145 engine .What came out of the canister is sorta close to the fram but I am thrown off with the o ring gasket and the thin one in the box. believe I should have a gasket thick rubber when installing the housing to the block. Thoughts???
