MF165 pressure control question.

Hey all,

I have a 165 and had a technical question. When the lift arms reach the upper limit, where is the hydraulic fluid routed to, or is it? Is the pressure released through the pressure relief valve to maintain the arms at the top? The reason I ask is that when I raise the control lever and the lift arms reach the top, my diverter valve lever kicks into neutral. Im lost and its quite counterproductive to re-engage the diverter valve to operate the box blade every time.

Also, when I turn the detent screw on the handle to hold it into position (or hold it manually) and lift the 3pt, the engine bogs down acting like there is an increase in pressure but nowhere for the pressure to go. I don't at this time have a pressure gauge to check the pressure. I am afraid to hold the diverter valve handle into position in fear of blowing out the pump or something else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....Thank you in advance.
