Tractor
mf30
I have another question about my MF30 tractor. I have the MF30 with an MF34 loader. The curl droops under load. I have had the cylinders rebuilt with no change so it's probably in the control valve. I know the valve is no longer available from the dealer. Anyone have any ideas? Are there any used control valves anywhere? Can the valve be rebuilt? Can the control valve be replaced by a different valve? Any help will be appreciated/

Here is a link to the repair manual for that loader. It covers tests to determine the issue and how to adjust if necessary. I just ordered one from this place and got it in less than a week.

Massey-Ferguson Model MF32A MF34A MF300A Loader Service Manual

I have a 34A loader and the control valve is in a hydraulic shop in Bakersfield hopefully being "rebuilt" as we speak. I had a guy put new o rings in it last week but he didn't put new seals so it leaked when I put it back on. Needless to say, I am trying a new place this time. I will let you know how the rebuild goes. I hope to be reinstalling it this weekend.

A lot of the parts are still available from your local Agco dealer. If you have a Quinn equipment near you, they are the west coast Agco dealer. I believe one of their main wharehouses is in Stockton. Good luck and let me know if you find a replacement source.

Jim, thanks for the reply. I may actually have the manual for this loader at our ranch. I'll look next time I'm out there. I believe my loader is an MF34, not an MF34A. I bought a full set of factory manuals for the tractor when I bought it (MF30/MF34/MF222). I'll check to see if Stockton has the Quinn dealer. Our property is 20 miles from Stockton. I probably won't do a rebuild myself so if things work out for you, please send me the name of the shop in Bakersfield. Thanks Again Nick

Hi Jim. How did the rebuild of the loader control valve go? What's the name of the shop? My tractor is an MF30 (not a 30B) and my loader is a 34 (not 34B). I still am looking for a mechanic that can rebuild the control valve. We live in Dublin (near Livermore) but the tractor is near Valley Springs.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I got the valve rebuilt at Sully and Son in Bakersfield. I had to help them find some of the parts, but they were easy to work with and I am happy with the way it turned out.

I did the parts search with the agco book link. Once I found the part numbers, I called Quinn equipment and they could get into another database of parts and they had most of the soft parts. I found one guy that would go the extra mile on researching the parts and it's a good thing. I had to ask for him by name when I called them. Keep trying and if all else fails, let me know what you are looking for and I'll call this guy. I don't want to put his name out over the web....yet.

good luck
