I have not had much luck posting on Tractorbynet with my MF problems but I will try again. This is an industrial machine i.e. TLB with a Perkins 3.152 engine. Very common engine. Last year it died and I think the lift pump was bad, replaced it and then the battery was bad, bat cable was bad and a gigantic slug of air in the fuel lines. Finally got it running, used it a bit and it just died again. Cranks over like crazy so its not the bat or the cable, the lift pump is pumping like crazy , full flow out of the injection bleeders. loosened the injector lines which has always been the last thing before starting. nothing. oh yeah same fuel in the tank and no water or crud.
not even a cough. ?? This is a Lucas rotary injector pump. There is a pin that drives the pump. It feels like the pin snapped off. Only 1000 hours on this machine but it is an '85.
Anybody have any ideas?

Solved my own problem. Before I would even touch the injection pump I would hire a mechanic. I thought about a mouse nest in the air filters , no and they are pretty covered up. Then I remembered what the mechanic did last year . A gas damp rag in the primery hole. Boom started running put put on the gas . cranked up the throttle and pulled out the rag , running.
Must have been an air bubble somewhere some how.
