Hello

I’m new to all this so please excuse anything I’ve just overlooked. I have a 1964 MF 35 - I’ve recently replaced the lift pump (it wasn’t delivering about fuel to the engine which kept cutting out)

I replaced the whole pump. The replacement part was listed as suitable for the 3 cylinder version like I have.

since then, it’s been leaking oil from the bottom of the pump. Not a great deal of oil but enough to notice. The grommet is correctly in place as far as I can see.

it’s bolted on with two different size bolts and washers under each bolt. It’s been tightened but old is still dripping.

Any advise would be welcome. Are the washers causing the issue or is it the grommet?

Welcome to TBN. About the only reason it will leak oil is if the gasket isn’t seated or it is cut. If the lift pump had a crack, that woul do it, but it is a new pump.
