MF35 tempreture gauge

Hi. From the serial numbers and codes I am almost certain that my tractor is 1962 MF35 with the three cylinder Diesel engine 3-A-152 Diesel. I have just replaced the water pump and of concern is that the tractor did not come with a temperature gauge. It had an oil and volt gauge but no temp. gauge. Having looked around a bit I am coming to the conclusion that the MF35 did come with a temp. gauge but not on the 3 cylinder Diesel model. Is this correct.? Was there a reason? Can I put one on now? And if so where (Exactly) is the plug hole that I would install it.? Thanks for your time and info.

Is it a special or a deluxe?

Not sure the metal tag says it is an FE35. But the seriel number is SNM 28672 which says it is a 1962 MF35. So sorry not sure if a special or not.

Hi reading other posts it has a 2 stage clutch which I think makes it a deluxe.

If it's a Deluxe. The water temp gauge goes in the upper right hole. The water temp gauge screws in at the thermostat housing I believe. You should have four gauges with the Tach in the middle. I would think a temp gauge is a must have on a tractor. One could do without a amp/volt gauge. If you gauge is indeed a VOLT instead of AMP it has been replaced. Do you also have an alternator on it?
