Hi y'all. Been scratching my head on my MF6140 for 3 days trying to get it back in the field. Dealership is closed for service calls due to Covid19.

fwd/rev shuttle doesn't work, Dynashift doesn't work, FWD don't engage and Diff lock either.

I strongly suspect electrical problem. Checked all fuses, relays, wiring, etc.

What works:

Front head lights (both high and low)
Front top and mid cab lights
Rear top and bottom cab lights
Rear break lights
License plate lights
All flashers/blinkers and both beacons
Hazard lights
Running lights
Wipers (both front and rear) and washer fluid pumps.
Engine RPM and hour meter, engine temperature
Radio and CB
All hydraulics (3 P.H. PUH, remotes and draft control all fine)
Climate control

What doesn't work:

FWD/REV Shuttle (lights on dash don't come on, stuck in FWD right now)
DynaShift (ABCD lights on dash not coming on, doesn't change gears in any case)
PTO doesn't come on when I turn the knob on (540, 1000 or tractor speed PTO)
FWD don't engage
Differential lock doesn't engage
Fuel gauge not showing anything in tank

No warning lights on dash. In fact, once the tractor is running, there's nothing on except the engine speed and temp.

I have the shop manuals but I can't figure this one out. Would be grateful if someone could help me out.

Can you make a call to the states? I have a MF7495 with IVT
These are THE most knowledgeable people I know in the US on the Massey/AGCO/FENDT lineup. They have quickly resolved any/all problems I have had.
MM Weaver Leola, PA, USA (717)656-2321
Ask for Merle. He knows the MF tractors inside & out! He might be there Saturday-probably closed on Good Friday.
I’m guessing you have a fuse, relay or sensor out on the IVT
Let me know how you fare.

Thanks for the reply Mate. mine is def not IVT, just an old 1996 Dyna4 6100 series. I'm usually quite on top of this old beast, but this problem has got me stumped. I'm in the UK. Our "local" dealer is 90 miles away, 4 out of 5 field techs are out on sick leave and on covid watch, the fifth is working his arse off right now and they go to warranty customers as priority. So us no-warranty guys have to fend for ourselves right now and for the foreseeable future I guess

Well, I've narrowed it down to the Autotronics. Strangely what threw me off was that the draft control, PUH and 3PH are working, which I thought are also controlled by the Autotronics. At least I have a narrower area to prod around.

Another thing I thought of!!!
I lost my reverser controller (or so I thought) last December. A $4,000 part! We installed the new controller-reverser still didn’t work.
We started looking at wire bundles and found the cab suspension was crunching down on a wire bundle and had fractured a wire that ran to the controller. It was fixed for $200 (2 hours of wire testing) and a solderless wire splice.
Check your wire bundles!!

thanks, that's what I'm going through right now, the hundreds of wires/connectors. LOTS of connectors and wires going to the module. Lots of corrosion in the connectors too. And it's been worked/butchered by previous owner a few times as well from what I've seen so far. And definitely not the smartest place to put a computer and cabling by those Agco engineering teams...
