microsoft outlook problems

Folks,
I need help please! When I try to access my Microsoft outlook,I get an error that will not let me open my mailbox.
The error is:
outLL IB.DLL file
is linked to missing export
MAP 132 DLL. 239

Acess to the specified device path or file denied

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am sure you will get other suggestions, but off the top of my head:

1. Reboot to see if that corrects the problem. If not...
2. Run Scandisk - you will have to shut down all "running" apps or scandisk will continue to restart. If that becomes too much of a problem to figure out what is running, answer YES to the question you want it to continue trying, but do this before you go to bed so it can run overnight.

Looks like you may have a broken file system? That second file name is invalid, which implies that the first file is broken.

I would run a scandisk to correct any file system errors, but I'm betting that you're going to have to re-install Outlook (at least) to get this one fixed.

First question, what version of windows/ie are you running?
Two methods of correction...depending on version...start>accessories>system tools>system information / select tools at top, select repair IE for win98, also start>run>sfc (at the command line) WIN ME, first option only. For sfc at the command prompt in 98, be prepaired and have your install cd handy.

I agree. Run scandisk -- but before you reinstall, make sure your virus definitions are up to date and do a virus scan of your system. Then do the reinstall of Outlook.

Your problem may have started with a virus.
