Has anyone had experience with 12k - 13k 18' equipment trailers made by Mid-Atlantic? Looking at purchasing a used trailer but can't find any specifications or testimonials on these units. Sounds like they may be discontinued. Just wondering why. Is it bad performance, reliability issues or just bad business model?

Thanks.

Mid Atlantic Trailer were manufactured in Harrisonburg, VA, they are well made units. I had a 24 foot gooseneck that I purchased in 1999 and sold in 2006 when I downsized my tow vehicle. The units were well constructed, with plenty of steel and good welds. They went out of business because their business model didn't keep up with cost. They would customize units and not price them right, and it finially caught up with them. Here in Central Virginia, you see many of their trailers and very few for sale, I believe that says something.

Hope this helps, I would buy another one if they were still around.

I have the 18ft model you mention and it has held up well since 2000. Still has the original decking that is about ready to be replaced. No issues with brakes or lighting as of yet. But I only use it about once a month to haul my tractors or to pick up hay/lumber. My compact track loader weighs about 8K so that is as much as I have ever hauled with it.
