I'm considering building a cultivator for corn to mid mount on a JM354 Jinma. Has anyone else done this? I've not even seen a mid mount on any tractor yet. Suggestions are welcome. I'm thinking about running parallel to tractor, two 2x4 tubing (one on each side right along engine) from rear fender to axle bracket to the under radiator mounting holes. This tubes would have some custom angles to go under the clutch and brake pedels, then up front next to front axle another jump to get clearance for front axle pivot motion. This frame then get perpendicular tubes for the tool bar and shanks for the sweeps. This is just a idea nothing set in stone yet. I was told I would propbably need some kind of hydraulic lift system to raise and lower the tool bar (more complications there). I'm not sure if any of this is possible. The tractor engine transmission area is rather deep with the four wheel drive case and drive line, so I've kinda ruled out running anything underneath from side to side. I need to be able to cultivate corn and was told the most accurate method was with the mid mount set up. bjr
