JD 4110
I know someone mentioned this before, but does anyone know the part number for the special clips that enable holding the mid-mower up on a JD4110, while a rear 3pt attachment is used.

I don't know the number, but it's called a lift-latch kit, about $75.

Here's the skinny. I found the part number from my dealer this morning. Part#BM19507 - $70. I have attached a picture of the kit.

This frustrates me. This is something that should have been designed as part of the mmm mounting hardware. It wasn't and now John Deere wants $70 /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif to lock the mower deck in a transport position so the 3 point hitch is operational. Am I looking at this wrong /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Maybe, as most of us wouldn't want to buy a tractor loaded with every option available or needed by every different user, would we? Not me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Probably most users don't use the 3pt with the mmm left on, but if they do, there is a hanger set to buy (or build ones own) from Deere. I suppose Deere could ignore these needs and not have a kit for sale at all. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

A different viewpoint.

Do most tractor users take their mower decks off every time they want to use their 3 point hitches? I think it's much easier to pin the mmm up in a transport position.

On my tractor there are two steel strips about three inches long with a hole in each end for the pins, maybe a $5.00 part which came standard. To me it's stretching a $5.00 part to be a $70.00 add on, but then they are Greene. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I leave mine on a lot an use the 3 point. But then I probably have reason to, I have a 72"mmm on a New Holland and the mower can be somewhat of a bear to take off and put back on. John Deere did make their mower a lot easier to take off and on. Maybe that is why John Deere made theirs accessory and New Holland made theirs standard. Either way I still think I would leave it on as much as possible.
