Mowing Mid mount mower PTO shaft source? (MF 2326 drive over MMM)

I have a GC 2310 TLB and I recently purchased a MF 2326 MMM from a guy on craigslist. Of course it only came with half the drive shaft (male splined portion that attaches to the mower) - I'm missing the female splined portion of the shaft on up to the quick-connect where it attaches to the tractor's Mid PTO.
Does anybody have any ideas on a good aftermarket solution or a source for this part? Called the dealer and they want $800 (!!!) I might as well buy a new mower.
It's an 18 spline shaft so I'm having a lot of trouble sourcing an aftermarket alternative, everything seems to be either 6 or 21 spline. I'm even having trouble finding an 18 female to 6 spline male adapter to try to get a more standard aftermarket PTO shaft to work.

Any advice is much appreciated!!

I bet the only way you'll find that, other than a driveshaft specialty shop (which might not be a bad idea, come to think of it), would be as a dealer part. You might check other M-F parts sources to compare prices (Jack's Small Engines comes to mind...). $800 sounds really high.

I do know you can get a yoke from a truck place in the midwest that will match the input shaft for the snowblower quick-hitch, but the quick-release on the tractor end might be a different story. Also not sure if the splines on both the MMM and the blower quick-hitch match, but don't know why they wouldn't....(I purchased a longer-than-OEM yoke some time ago for my front snowblower driveshaft.)

Massey gc is a copycat of kubota bx. Go to messicks.com and check bx mmm. Then use part number in ebay and find what you need.

OK, I checked the yoke that I had bought some time ago for the snowblower, and it does NOT fit the MMM input shaft. In any case, the company I bought it from may have a solution, since they specialize in agricultural driveshafts & such :Home - Weasler Engineering, Inc.Weasler Engineering, Inc. | Manufacturer of Mechanical Power Transmission Products

Sounds like you need items 6,7, and 8? Seems to be a bit more than $300 in part from Jacks small engines... Your dealer was probably quoting you an entire new shaft, not just the half you need.

Boy it's a d@###ed shame that part didn't come with the mower! Let us know how you make out... i.e., if you're able to get that assembly from Jack's (or elsewhere). These are great little tractors, and my experience has been that the MMM does an excellent job.

Working on hunting the parts down from Jacks and Messicks now. I'll let you guys know what I turn up.

Any idea why there's two different shafts shown for this mower in the AGCOPARTSBOOK Site?
As you say, the parts 6,7 and 8 add up to just under $330 at Jack's, but part #11 is over $600! I'm guessing that's why the dealer's price was so high, he was probably including part #11. Both 6 & 11 are called "U-JOINT, COMPLETE"
