I never got a cover with the tractor and have the mower off for most of the bucket work i do. The manual said to keep the cover on. I never got one. just receieved one from the dealer but was asking about how to put it on and how to use it. came with no bolts but there are obvious holes on the side of it. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

When I took delivery on my Max25 it had the mower attached already. The dealer gave me the Mid PTO cover to put on when I removed my mower. My bolts were in their respective holes around the PTO.

Popped them out and bolted the cover on... easy. Might be worth taking a peek under yours to see if the bolts are there.

Thanks! the bolts seem to be there - when i remove the bolts there is nothing else they are holding together is there?

also - so you have to put on and remove all the time? the cover does not just flip up or down as needed? there appears to be 2 bolt holes and bolts so that would keep any flip up or down from being able to take place.

I greatly appreciate your help!

My bolts did not hold anything in place except for the cover. If I recall correctly each bold has a washer on it... but that's it. When I remove my cover I leave the bolts in place so I don't lose them.

I take my Mid PTO cover off for the summer, and replace after my final cutting of the season. I do not use my Mid PTO for any implement other than the MMM so taking it on and off for the season is really not a big deal. I see what you're saying about it being able to flip down for use, but unless it can fold all the way back and be secured there, I fear the cover would interfere with raising and lowering the MMM.

One more thing, in the event that i'm working in heavy brush or deep mud/ruts during the mowing season, i will temporarily replace that cover.... just in case.

When I bought my Kioti it came with a mid PTO cover which goes over the shaft and held with a 1/2 bolt. When time comes for the front mount blower installation I take the cover off and put it aside till Spring when I take the blower off and put the front end loader on. This cover keeps the sand, dirt, water off the shaft. Good thing to have and I also have one on my rear PTO.

I use the loader all the time - the deck i bought as a backup when my garden tractor poops out - so down the road i will have to take it off and on as needed. Oh well. I ran it for a month without a cover. Now to get it on.

thanks guys!
