I have been shopping tractors and finally found the one . Unfortunately it has no mid pto . The John Deere parts website says the kit (LVB25291) is no longer available. This is very upsetting since I had all kind of plans to mount a front snowblower. Can anyone direct me to where I "might" be able to find this kit. Obviously I would be very grateful.

You need to talk to a dealer. The JDParts system does not always have the "kits" or "whole goods" as the dealer calls them. They also turn up on eBay every now and then.

BUT, if in fact it is NLA, you got a couple options.... have your dealer do a locate to see if any other dealers might have a kit in stock, OR you can buy the parts via parts dept piece by piece...Yes, it wont be as cheap, but you might be able to get them to "help you out" on the price if you buy all the parts in the kit.
