Middle Buster for ditching

I need to bury some drain pipe for our downspouts & put in a french drain for a low area. I'm sure that this has been touched on before...
How deep does a middlebuster like at TSC dig?
Could I use this low cost implement to do what I want?

I've just read all the posts on 'middle buster' used for trenching. I may have missed it but how do any of you guys use one of these when the tractor can't straddle where your trench is to be? I've got a middle buster and a subsoiler but it seems most of the places where i need to use them have a steep bank on one side where i can't get the plow or subsoiler down where i need it to be.
Any way of offsetting these? or some other idea?

Trenchers have offset booms,I can dig 18" from
walls or use a trackhoe that has the swing boom.
Problem w/ offsetting the middle buster is it will
want to turn tractor as u pull it.
Larger tractors would be ok.

After reading several posts about trenching I came across the following web site: http://www.farmshow.com/issues/250608.asp
This shows a trencher attachment to a loader bucket that would allow shallow trenching in most applications. One could build something similar without to much expense, its a very simple idea. Just thought I would mention it.
