Might buy a 1950 Ferguson.....

The guy wants $650 for it. New starter, alternator, tune up, converted to 12 volt. Tires look good. Its a bit rusty but to bad. Any advise for me.. what to look for before buying? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the steering, hydraulics and brakes work correctly because those features will tell you a lot about how the tractor was maintained.

if it runs and has good tires, new starter, check oil and water.

if no oil in water.. and no water in oil. 650$ is a steal no matter what model it is.

can't loose just on the tires alone.. even if you had to sell the starter , tires and scrapped the iron...
