Might need mulching done

OK you guys running mulching heads, anyone want to venture up to Clarksville TN, it is about an hour north of Nashville?

I will be out looking at the rental possibilities as well tommorrow, anyone have words of wisdom or experience to share as to what to get or not get as far as rental's?

I have a sunbelt here that I usually use, will find out what my options are there in the morning.

Not sure if this property deal will come through or not, all the others have fell through the cracks so far, but you never know, this may be the one. It is a prime candidate in my opinion to run the mulcher through. They just dozed clean the neighboring lot yesterday, now they have this huge pile that I am not sure what they are going to do with it.

Might just doze it depending on cost, but thought it would be worth a shot.

Our local dealer here in Connecticut rents a Bobcat T300 and Fecon head for $750 per day, $2625 per week or $7875 for the month. You might do better in your area but unless you have machine experience and the time, I would look in to having someone do it for you. My 2 cents.

Alan, I am in Paris, Tn. and I am in the process of purchasing a rc100 with fecon head. What are you trying to have done? additional lots cleared ? or the piles mulched from the previous lots cleared by the dozer? Thanks, mike

The property that I am looking to purchase has been just kind of "let go" the dozer did the 1.5 acre lot next door that was similar, but now they have a big pile to deal with.

I guess what I would like done is probably 3 acres of saplings and junk mulched down, small tree's maybe 2 to 3 inch caliper and some briars and other assorted growth just leveled.

Just trying to figure out what the cost would be.

The piles from the dozer are their problem... I think they just made a huge mess with far too much dirt mixed in too deal with.

You ever get over to Clarksville? Interest you in taking you out too a nice dinner and looking at the property and giving me a price quote? Need any welding done???

i believe there is a Stowers CAT dealership in nashville. check with their rental dept. if they don't have one in stock they may bring it from another store.

I think Thompsons is in Nashville, I found Stowers in Crossville, but called the 1-800 Cat REnts or something and it is a national #. They sent me too Bowling green after I told them Thompson did not rent these to Wayne equipment. Bowling Green is about an hour away. Anyway, they have them and rent them, it would be a CAT HM 312 head on a 287 High Flow machine (whatever that is, it has tracks) and it would be $475 a day with me picking it up.

I bet in the end I give my buddy $200 for diesel and turn him loose on his dozer for practice..... He would be the one too Harley Rake it anyway....

Now if the deal will just come through on the house, It is in the sellers hands now.

Maybe Paco and I will get together and see him work???? Just have too see what comes out.

Mike, have a binding contract on the house. Should close end of Feb. Will call when I am positive it is coming together (end of Feb) and set something up too look at this.
