I did not mean to imply they sell junk. The rebranded stuff with Miller's name on it is usually excellent. Their plasma cutters are a good example. You couldn't do better than to have Hypertherm build them in a blue box for you!

Didn't mean to imply you did. My only point is I think this outsourcing stuff is overrated. I find that these companies will outsource to someone who specializes in that field, i.e. Hypertherm plasma cutters. Since they are already a top notch product, Miller uses them, doesn't have to fund their own research/development, which will be very costly and not likely have the same skill level as a company who specializes in plasma cutters, but since they have to pay for their own research/development the price goes up, maybe more than what it could be for an outsourced Hypertherm that would more than likely be better quality, since they specialize in welders, not plasma cutters. Point is, outsourcing is a good thing a lot of the time, both in quality and in price, and I don't see people's complaints on they don't make them, don't buy them.

I have the Miller 210 which is now the 211 and I bought mine from cyber weld. I have had it about 8-10yrs and have NO-NO problems with it at all. I really like the miller and it has held up great. I wish I could get tips for the gun at TSC but they only carry hobart stuff and it doesnt fit my 210 gun. But again cyber weld comes thru!!! You will love the machine... I use mine alot!

Thanks, I believe the 211 is nearly the exact same machine as the Hobart 210, except some cosmetic changes, so I should be able to get some consumables from TSC, which is nice because they are a lot closer than the local welding supply.

i bought a 211 about a year ago. i actually got it at a local shop for around $965, which was the same as the best prices on the internet at that time. one of the first things i used it for was some outdoor welding and i noticed a lot of slag buildup around the gas ports on the gun. i bought a hobart flux core nozzle at tractor supply and it was a direct fit. if i remember correctly the tips they sold in hobart packaging were also the same as the ones for my 211, so you should be able to get them there. i also remember getting lincoln tips for my 20~ish year old century welder with a tweco gun at walmart. those tips were totally different from my 211, so whichever style you have you should be able to pick up basic stuff at a one of the local big box stores. that is always handy when you need stuff after 5pm and on the weekends.

Hey Martian will all that Blue go with the Green and Red?

Congrats

RC

I went ahead and purchased the 211 tonight with:

Miller Welding Helmet
Miller Welding Gloves
Miller Welding Jacket
Miller Welder Cover
50' Extension Cord
6x8 Heavy Duty Welding Blanket

Spent WAAY more than I wanted to, but I think I'll enjoy it.

I do plan on purchasing all consumables locally, but I did a lot of shopping across the internet, and I got the lowest price I could find with no tax/free shipping. So I'm happy.
