I was going to get the M12 grease gun but I wasn't thrilled about the 12v batteries. I only have 18v Milwaukee cordless tools. This past Christmas she asked for an idea so I told her that this was something that I would like but never seam to get around to buying. She asked a day later if I wanted the 12v or 18v. I quickly said 18. I didn't look at prices but I think it was around $280 with two batteries (smaller packs). The only complaint I have is that they tightened the zerk connector so tight I had to use two pipe wrenches to break it free so I could use it. Other than that it works great. I'm use to a long lever grease gun, one pump is enough for almost any application, there is a little learning curve with just squeezing a trigger.
I really do like having two large batteries (came with my drill) and two small batteries. It's nice not having the weight when climbing a ladder to do a small job with the drill. Also having two chargers is nice, one for the shop and the other in the basement. Does the M12 come with a hard case like the M18? It's really nice having the hose and connector snap into a slot in the case so it can't get anything covered in grease.
