Mineral site tips

I think #5 is the most important and possibly overlooked one, "water".

A water source sure will impact the animal, when using minerals it seems that animals water consumption is increased. from what I have observed anyway. I have also seen, especially last summer in Texas, a huge decrease in mineral site activity when water sources became scarce. Allot of us where putting out supplemental water and there was an increase in mineral and protein feed consumption. Not a scientific fact, but just an observation.

I actually prefer soybean field edges, mostly for the ease of getting in and out. You are right though, and especially for daytime pics, a water source is tough to beat.
