Well, got a call to fly back to LA for an emergency shoot. Actor only available for a particular hour on a particular day and the studio must have the shot. But it is money.
Second, my wifes cousin has a very interesting gig. He owns a rather successful boat repair company based in Seattle. His all of like 27, and the company has a rule of not working on anything smaller than 150 feet. He is actually making a killing right now as boat owners are not replacing boats, but repairing. Anyway, he told me that through the normal course of repairs they are constantly replacing hydraulic motors of various kinds and purposes. I gave him my specs, he said come up and grab a box or two. Hmmmm. This could be my new found source of JUNK.
Finally, a little bummed. We went from Portland to Kennewick along the 84 just before christmas. It was opened for all of 6 hours. Truckers were lined up for miles. There were dozens, if not hundreds, of tire chains littering the road. I wish I had the guts to stop and grab them as I saw them. The PT could be styling for free right now....
