a few green & yellow ones
I didn't order the optional side mirrors on my 5093E. My dealer said they were just one more thing to get ripped off by trees and such. Now I'm having second thoughts. I know it comes with a small fold down mirror inside the cab.
Have any of you added mirrors after delivery? If so are you glad you did or do you find them getting in the way?

Thanks

I have them om both our cab tractors and use them all the time. I have had a limb fold them back, but never lost one. Our renters hav them on their John Deeres and when working in close quarters just fold them forward out of the way.

If you drive on the road much they are great because you can't see far behind you with the in cab mirror. If you dont need to drive much or far on the road I wouldn't bother.

I didn't get them on my tractor but added them later. I an sure glad I did. They help out on the road and in the field. I adjust the right hand one when I am cutting hay to see the discbine and it sure saves your neck.

I have the telescoping mirrors on mine. I run a couple miles down the road and will be pulling a 567 JD Baler so I wanted the visibility. If you aren't in trees, I'm not sure I get the worry about them getting ripped off. Even driving the tractor bare, I find myself looking at the L/R mirror more than the little visor mirror. Kinda like driving a car. Glad I had them installed.

Are you guys ordering the OEM John deere ones or going with aftermarket?

I went through the same pro/con process with mirrors. Didn't order them with the tractor. Big mistake! Mowing, baling, etc. that first season was a killer on my neck and back!!! Bought the OEM's and installed them.

Last year was much, much better!

I'm in the trees ALL the time. They have a spring release on the mirror that helps fold them back or forward if you get too close to a limb, etc. If I know that it's gonna be close quarters - I fold them either in or out - depending upon the situation.
