Christmas part two came and I wasn't even home /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I ordered the 48 Backhoe a few weeks ago and the dealer picked up my tractor for the install late last week. They said it would be delivered Thursday or Friday and sure enough, it came when I was out running errands! Oh well. To add to that, we leave today for two weeks in Vermont and I won't even have a chance to try it out until the third week of August /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
Of course I started the tractor and moved the hoe around a bit, but that just made me want to tear into the ground even more! Much fun ahead I'm sure.
Here's the details because I know I'll be asked:
JD 48 Backhoe with 18" bucket:
Picked up, installed and re-delivered: $7,100
Nothing "weird looking" about the installation. I was very concerned that since this was all done after the tractor was ordered and delivered that it would look like an out-of-place add-on job. Not at all. As a matter of fact, I was told that they did just what they would have done had I ordered everything at the same time. Fit and finish all look good.
The deciding factor for me was how John Deere agreed to let me pay for it. Since it's not been long since I signed the zero% contract for the tractor, they're now adding the backhoe and just re-writing the contract! I think that's pretty flexible and it sure fit better in my budget.
Now the anticipation starts!
