Still a newbie when it comes to tractors..

So, today I removed the backhoe and tried to attach the rear scape blade, that I previously restored (with some help).

I had my neighbor point out the missing parts (some pins were missing).. After running to the tractor store and starting attaching the three point arms, I started looking at my controls... and at my manual.. manual says I should have 3 point controls, but I don't appear to have them.. However, the cyliders are there, so something must operate them.. what am I missing?

1st: Front Bucket and "Remote" control (operates snow plow)
2nd: Shows the lever is switched towards the "Remote" control (you can either use the backhoe, or "Remote")
3rd: 3point pitch and PTO controls are supposed to be here
4th: gears and speed control (never used the latter)
5th: 3 point hitch related (controls speed, per manual)
6th: pedals :)

Here's a view of the back.

I don't know your tractor, but the lever in the third picture looks like the 3PH position control lever to me.

It's the big lever to the right of the seat with numbers/positions 0-8 on the scale.

It seems to do nothing. Almost if something needs to be switched on to let it engage.

Is it a factory backhoe? You may need to connect the two backhoe hoses together in order to complete the power beyond (PB) loop that goes to the 3-pt hitch. That is always last in the PB loop on Kubotas.

I do see some non-factory valves in your pictures, so it's possible you don't have a standard PB setup anymore, if someone modified the loop thinking the backhoe was permanent....

The backhoe is Woods 9000.
The backhoe hoses were connected.
Where do you see non-factory valves.. could they be for the snow plow?
Going to go check if 3point speed knob is all the way "open" (thought I tried it.)

The exposed valve on the fender is definitely not factory.

Question -- what is on the hose that runs from that valve and goes under the loader valve mount -- looks almost like a bronze or brass ball valve with the lever cut off? I hope it's not a bronze or brass ball valve on a hydraulic system, as they aren't normally able to handle pressure that high.

That valve controls if I can use the backhoe or the snow plow. I do not know what it is made from.

The issue was with the 3point speed knob. Once I put it to open things started to work.

Wanted to thank folks in this thread, as well as other helpful threads I participated in or just read (for tips on using blade and bucket to level the gravel)

I was able to fix all the rain ditches that were created with melting snow and deepened with non-stop rain we've been having.
I really enjoyed offseting the blade as well as adjusting the angles to create a bigger cut.
Did not enjoy putting on three point hitch (backhoe was in the back) and the blade itself :)
