Yesterday My son-in- law and I were studying the way the backhoe on my BX-22 mounted to the tractor. As we kept looking, we couldn't understand why Kobota did not install grease fittings in the Backhoe mounting lever,so today I drilled them out with a #3 drill then counter sunk the holes to start the tap(1/4-28 NF) and installed the fittings. I used 1/4-28 straight fittings.I don't know if anyone has ever done this before, so I'm posting the pictures anyway.Six pictures in all for your enjoyment.

I usually like to install grease fittings on all pin assemblies. It will prevent problems in the future. Just remember that the design engineers didn't put one there for a reason, and that reason was most likely cost savings vs possible wear.
