On my Mitisubishi MT372 tractor I was working under the dash trying to fix the head lights and I shorted somthing out on the idiot lights now th Oil and Overheat stay on all the time can I unplug and run without, can I fix it or do I need to replace it, and what is the P/N and cost for the part.

I don't think you really have any choice but to repair or replace it. Do you really want to run without knowing whether the engine is overheating or is lacking sufficient oil pressure? Both of those happen often enough that I wouldn't want to run the risk of melting the engine.

Is there any chance that you just reconnected wires incorrectly when working on the headlights?

I can't be sure about your tractor, but typically those idiot lights come on briefly when you turn the key to the "on" position. The temperature light goes out after a short time delay. The oil pressure light goes out when you actually start the engine and create oil pressure. The only thing I can imagine that could cause both lights to stay on would be if you somehow shorted both connections (to the temp and oil pressure sensors) to ground, like maybe pinching the wires against a tin cover or something.

I would begin dismantling the dash as if to replace parts, all the while looking for the problem. I think it's likely you'll be able to find and repair the problem once you open things up a bit.

You could just add mechanical gauges from any auto parts store
