Hey, all you tractor experts & users out there..I am kinda new here..Was looking for a compact tractor & ran across a good & seemingly honest dealer who comes well-recommended. He has in stock several 1801 units. They are 4Wd & have all the features I need. I just need to know if there are any weaknesses or shortcomings with these particular models. The one I am looking at seems in fairly good cond. for its age. No idea what's on the hour meter...Any experiences out there?? THANKS IN ADVANCE!! Mike

Good question. I recently bought an 1801D TLB from EFC and haven't used it much. It seems like a good machine. I hope someone else who has owned one for awhile will chime in here.

Well, Tom; That makes two of us! First question: What is a "TLB"?? I keep looking around at specs I can locate, & found one place that has manuals..but not a REPAIR manual..Still, it would be nice to have at LEAST an owner's manual
Did EFC provide you with one? I see that Best-Used-Tractors.com does provide them. I plan to press my tractor directly into service when I finally get one. I'm late getting in the firewood! Down for months but not cut & split yet. I figure this would help!..Mike

Well, Tom..I just went ahead & bought that Mitsu 1801D ..Bought it from EFC, just like you. I was treated well & I think I probably got a pretty fair deal.. I ran it most of the afternoon & I really like this machine! 3 speed PTO! 4 ranges..It's all they said it would be! I bought mine with a FEL & backhoe (both Koyker) I did bunch of stuff it would've taken a couple days to accomplish before- been putting it all off 'cause it would take so long & leave me tired! Well, it all happened in one afternoon!! AND I had a BALL doing it! ..Mike

UPDATE: Since i bought this little Mitsu from EFC in Richland, Wa..I have worked it (and my) little behind off! With great help from a close friend, we built a very stout ROPS system (actually, a double rollbar with a halo on top) and we have fabbed up many attachments. This tractor was/is a GREAT VALUE and I have not, for a minute regretted buying this unit..nor have I regretted buying it from EFC!..In fact, I returned the following year to pick up a rotary cutter (new) and a used Japanese tiller! I am just about to pick up a new Jinma Chipper as well!

HAPPY TRACTORING!

Mike
