Mitsubishi Alternator Issue on 9N.

I have an alternator made by Mitsubishi that has this square box attached to it. I need help identifying what the box is and where to get another one.

That's the voltage regulator. Looks a lot like the one I have on a zero turn mower with a 18 hp Briggs I/C engine in it. Hard to say if it was factory or someone added it along its lifetime.
