Mitsubishi MT 2001 headlight Conversion

I got tired of trying to track down bulbs for my Mitsubishi tractor, so I took a set of hi beam lights from Northern Tool and combined them with my old headlight housing.

I cut the tail end off of the old housing and placed a self-tapping screw through the new bulb assembly into the old housing, put the rubber boots on and connected the wires running from the original switch. The lights that I used can be purchased at any auto parts store, no more hunting or shipping & handling charges. I use my tractor pretty early or in the evenings so the headlights are very important. I think I will be replacing the switches soon to rocker or lighted switches.

Neat idea and nicely hacked solution. I have to check my Kubota lights and see if I have space for it. Bulbs for my tractor are probably made from baby seals - hard to find and very expensive.

Thanks for the comment, its cool having a small compact tractor but a grey market parts are expensive.
