Mitsubishi MT18D starts but cuts out after a few seconds

Hopefully this is a simple fix. My Mitsubishi MT18D was running perfectly but suddenly died. It will now start, run for a few seconds, then dies. Could anyone let me know what to check, and where that part is on the engine, since I'm not exactly a mechanic.

Fuel filter, no idea where it is on you machine, but that's where I;d start.

Thanks. I've bled the fuel line, but it still stops after a few seconds. I recently put in an in-line filter, which may have something to do with it, although fuel is going through okay.

3 possibilities come to mind.
Vent is plugged---try running with cap off.
Sucking air via fuel line---install new fuel lines and clamps.
Tank screen is plugged---blow air backwards into tank (blow from connection closest to injector pump)

Inline filter is not a problem (unless filled with crap)
Could also be injector lines that need bleeding (I often bleed at the injector)

Thanks for the above replies. I changed the dodgy fuel lines, clamps and in-line filter. The problem is still there. I now think it may be electrical. The problem often temporarily goes away when I fiddle with the battery connections. Also the 15A fuse for the dashboard lights keeps blowing. Does that suggest any obvious fault to anyone?
